Nicki is a seasoned public relations executive who has over 20 years experience of communicating in the life science sector. During her career she has worked for large multinationals including Astra-Zeneca and ICI where she reported directly to the Executive Boards. She has been a journalist for The Financial Times and Scrip World Pharmaceutical News and was an Account manager at a Saatchi & Saatchi advertising. In 1995 she established NB PR, a UK-based consultancy dedicated to the needs of companies in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical and life science sectors. She has since worked for companies ranging from Shire, GE Healthcare and Domantis (now GSK) to Roslin BioMed (now Geron), Parexel and Prometic Bioscience.

Nicki is a First Class Honours scientist (Botany and Zoology – Bristol University) with a thorough understanding of R&D. She is a practicing journalist with a proven track record in scientific and business copy writing. Nicki is fully conversant with the ABPI code of practice, which governs ethical pharmaceutical communications in the UK and was short-listed for the BT Technology Journalist of the Year Award.

Nicki has been responsible for devising, spearheading and executing effective corporate PR strategies for numerous European companies including those in the UK, France, Denmark and Norway and has strong media links. She has direct experience of high profile projects including mergers, demergers and acquisitions, IPOs, Rights Issues, fund raising, company and product launches, clinical trial and annual results announcements. She has worked with biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical devices, diagnostic, drug intermediate manufacturers and contract research companies as well as chemical/industrial concerns, venture capital firms and industry associations.
